Raising awareness of neuroendocrine cancers around the world

Dutch NET Group Presents NET Seminar on November 5th

The Dutch NET Community, Stichting NET-groep, has organized a seminar for patients, family members and medical professionals on November 5th from 10 am to 4 pm.

The following speakers will give presentations on various topics related to NETs:

• Professor Liesbeth de Vries, Oncologist at UMCG (University Medical Centre, Groningen), will give an introduction about recent NET developments, new treatments for GEP/NET, and diagnosing and treating lung NET tumors.
• Dr. Tiny Korse, Scientific Associate at The Netherlands Cancer Institute-Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL), will speak about the incidence of NETs and her thesis ‘Clinical relevance of tumor markers and epidemiology in neuro-endocrine tumors.’
• Dr. Babs Taal, Internist Oncologist at NKI-AVL, will share the first results of her study on the effects of  the delay by doctors and patients in NET diagnosis. Visit the Stichting NET-groep website for more information (in Dutch)
