NET Cancer Day
November 10
NET Cancer Day is for:
Worldwide NET Cancer Awareness Day is flexible at a local/national level
Depending on the local environment, Partners and Supporters can choose to organize NET Cancer Day around one single day or a week; around one large event or many smaller ones. Some organizations may prefer to focus entirely upon awareness raising, while others may also use the day as an opportunity for fundraising for their organizations. The NET Cancer Day website offers a variety of tools to help with local campaigns.
Common features
Patron/Ambassador
Partner and Supporter organizations are encouraged to secure the support of a patron or ambassador. This could be a well-known person from any field: including royalty, the arts, politics, sports, and TV. The role of the patron is to provide a message of support, written or video, to be displayed on the website and given to the media.
At a national level, patrons and ambassadors may agree to host events, give out awards or speak to the media.
Reaching out to the medical profession
As the focus of this year’s Worldwide NET Cancer Awareness Day is “Early Detection,” member organizations are encouraged to invite physicians and other healthcare professionals to their events.
Local groups may choose to organize educational events for healthcare professionals, with the aim of increasing understanding and awareness of NET cancers among this crucial group.
